Senior Program Manager, Home Hospital

Ariadne Labs is a joint center for health systems innovation at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Our goal is to drive scalable solutions for better care at critical moments in people’s lives everywhere. Better care means better health outcomes, lower costs, and more actual caring. Critical means solving health systems failures that have major impact, typically touching people by the millions. Ariadne Labs currently has research programs in the areas of childbirth, surgery, palliative care, and primary health care.

Senior Project Managers are considered senior representatives of Ariadne Labs, its mission and its values, both internally and externally. Working in cooperation with a lead clinician or medical faculty, subject matter and training experts, and Ariadne’s Innovation platform team, the Sr. Project Manager will support the design, scoping and execution of early stage projects targeted at addressing problems in the delivery of healthcare systems, and improving patient outcomes.

Under minimal direction, the Senior Project Manager performs a wide range of activities that vary in scope, including the management of resources (e.g., personnel, subcontractors, budgets) in a complex environment, and ensuring that the project is adhering to any necessary protocols, schedules and plans for any planned research activities. In support of project deliverables, the Project Manager collects relevant data and perspectives, helps to identify high potential options, and integrates their work with other members of the team.

Ariadne Home Hospital Overview

Ariadne’s Home Hospital Initiative is a diverse portfolio of projects focusing on driving advanced care to the home. The team’s largest focus is on acute care at home, or the provision of hospital-level care at home as a substitute for the traditional hospital. The team has a particular interest in rural care delivery. The team currently manages a multi-site randomized controlled trial of rural home hospital, a feasibility project of rural home hospital in collaboration with the Indian Health Service and Blackfeet Nation, and a national early adopters accelerator to promote home hospital. The goal of the team will be to execute the above projects and grow its portfolio in several strategic areas through grant and user funding.
