Ariadne Labs Announces Two New Roles to Expand Strategic Partnerships and Strengthen Administrative Leadership

Boston, MA – Ariadne Labs is excited to announce the appointment of two new leaders to strengthen its mission of reducing suffering and saving lives. Selam Woldeselassie will join as Senior Director of Administration, overseeing finance, talent, and operations, and Katherine Semrau will assume the role of Deputy Director. Kit Nichols, the current Chief Administrative Officer, will transition to Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships.

Selam Woldeselassie will serve as the senior administrative leader of the Lab and an integral member of the Management Team, to lead the day-to-day administrative functions of the Lab. With more than 20 years of experience in leadership and organizational development, Selam has a proven track record of implementing strategic plans, building diverse teams, and strengthening organizational culture.

Katherine Semrau, who continues to serve as the Director of the BetterBirth Program at Ariadne Labs, will additionally take on the role of Deputy Director. Katherine has more than 21 years’ experience in epidemiology and maternal and newborn health.  In this new role, she will oversee the three platforms and serve as the senior scientific leader of the Lab. She will lead the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to drive growth and impact across the organization.

Kit Nichols, who has made significant contributions to the Lab as Chief Administrative Officer, will transition to the new role of Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships. In this role, she will identify and launch opportunities for collaboration and partnership both inside and outside the organization, ensuring that Ariadne’s ideas, tools, and solutions reach their maximum impact.
