Colleen Clark
Colleen Clark, MDes, is a Design Specialist at Ariadne Labs, where she brings deep expertise in innovation and human-centered design to support projects aimed at improving health outcomes and healthcare delivery. In her role, Colleen helps teams develop effective, people-centered solutions that address complex challenges and make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
With a background as a service designer and design strategist, Colleen has led impactful initiatives that improve healthcare access, enhance patient outcomes, and increase system efficiency. Her experience spans from redesigning health systems and advising on public health engagement strategies, to contributing to research on health disparities at the National Institutes of Health and designing COVID-19 education models at Partners In Health. She has also supported the development of community-based mental health programs, reinforcing her commitment to advancing health equity.
Colleen holds a Master of Design in Integrative Design from the University of Michigan, where she was honored with the Rackham Merit Fellowship Award. She combines academic rigor with practical expertise, using a strategic and design-driven approach to drive improvements across healthcare systems and patient experiences.
At the core of Colleen’s work is a commitment to equity, innovation, and human-centered care—principles that align closely with the mission of Ariadne Labs. Beyond her professional contributions, she is also passionate about community service, including volunteering at boxing classes for individuals with Parkinson’s disease. A dedicated ocean enthusiast, she finds inspiration near the water and actively supports ocean conservation efforts.
