Christopher Westgard
Christopher Westgard is the Mixed Methods Implementation Scientist at Ariadne Labs, working within the Science and Technology Platform to provide implementation research support across the organization. He specializes in designing and analyzing scientific research to enhance the program planning process, implementation, and evaluation of public health initiatives.
Christopher has worked on various domestic and international projects, identifying barriers to implementation, improving program impact and scalability, and advancing the field of applied implementation science. He has worked extensively on projects related to maternal and child health, child development, community-based care, and digital health. In Peru, he founded the research institution Elementos to conduct applied implementation research in the region. He also supported the WHO Collaborating Center on Research Evidence for several years as an Associate Research Fellow.
Christopher earned a PhD in Maternal and Child Health from UNC Chapel Hill and a master’s in public policy from the University of Washington. He also completed a Global Health Research Fellowship with the Fogarty International Center of the NIH.
