Madeline Pesec
Madeline Pesec, MD, ScM, is a faculty member with the Primary Health Care Program at Ariadne Labs and a physician in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. Her research focuses on population health management, person-centered integrated care, and health outcome equity. She is an expert in Costa Rica’s primary health care system, with work examining the mortality impact of primary care reform, implementation strategies, and measurement for improvement.
Clinically, Dr. Pesec practices Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital, as well as the Doris and Howard Hiatt Residency in Global Health Equity, where she served as chief resident. She holds a BA in Public Health and Latin American Studies, a Doctor of Medicine, and a Master of Science in Population Medicine from Brown University.
