Sarah Findeisen
Sarah Findeisen is a Research Assistant in the Home Hospital Program. In this role she supports the Rural Home Hospital and the Home Hospital Early Adopters Accelerator projects through research and implementation.
Previously, Sarah coordinated research on clinical trials and surveys with burn patients. She holds a BA from Boston College in Applied Psychology and Human Development. Sarah’s interests are in health equity and mental health research and she plans on pursuing a Masters of Public Health in the future.
A randomized controlled trial, published in JAMA Network Open and led by Ariadne Labs, showed that Rural Home Hospital programs can deliver acute care at an equal or lower cost compared to brick-and-mortar hospitals, while providing a better patient experience.
The Home Hospital Team publishes the outcomes of their mixed methods evaluation on the feasibility of the Accelerator approach for generating and implementing relevant, high-quality knowledge products for Home Hospital implementation.
