Violet Ikolo
Violet Ikolo is the College Librarian at College of Health Sciences, Delta State University in Abraka, Nigeria. Violet graduated from Delta State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, a Masters Degree in Library and Information Science, and a Phd in Library Science. She is passionate about meeting research needs of medical students and researchers at the College of Health Sciences through enabling access to relevant health information resources and services. Violet is also a researcher whose areas of research interest are medical librarianship, promoting continued education and training for librarians to improve service delivery, librarian’s job satisfaction and commitment, information literacy and library users satisfaction. In addition, Violet has facilitated several library use workshops for undergraduates and members of the academic community of the College of Health Sciences. Violet is member of several library associations, such as the Nigerian Library Association (NLA), Medical Library Association of Nigeria (MLA-NG), and the Association for Health Information and Libraries in Africa (AHILA). In addition, she is a Certified Librarian in Nigeria (CLN) and a Certified Medical Librarian of Nigeria (CMLN). She joined the Better Evidence for Training program in 2024.
