SPOT-T1D Kids Clinician Pathway & Tools

The SPOT-T1D Kids Solution is a clinical pathway and set of tools designed to support primary care practices in implementing universal screening and ongoing monitoring for kids found to be at high risk for T1D. The available tools include clinician conversation guides and family handouts, as well as a clinical protocol. Together, the tools are meant to serve as a compass, directing practices on essential steps while remaining adaptable to meet the specific needs of each clinic, clinician, and family.

The pathway is divided into key phases and key moments that are common throughout the screening and monitoring experience. The visual below shows the pathway and highlights the tools to use at each key moment.
