TeamBirth Doula Collaboration

TeamBirth is a patient-centered care model that aims to improve communication, teamwork, and shared decision-making during labor and birth. Structured bedside huddles and a shared planning whiteboard bring the full team together – including the patient, support people, doulas, and clinical team members – to contribute information and align on a shared plan and next steps.

Are you a doula interested in using the TeamBirth model to support your clients?

Review the TeamBirth Training for Doulas to learn about the model, how you can participate, and gain access to practical tools for collaborating with clinical teams.

If you lead a program interested in training doulas on TeamBirth, please see this implementation guide. We would also be happy to provide a template slide deck upon request (email us deliverydecisions@ariadnelabs.org).

For more information on TeamBirth educational and training content for clinical team members, see here.
