The COVID-19 pandemic poses particular risks for adults over the age of 65 and those with pre-existing health risks. Disproportionately at risk for morbidity and mortality from the virus, much of this population may also be challenged by social isolation, loneliness, and the lack of support and resources.
Ariadne is focusing on identifying structured supports for these communities.
Our work includes developing evidence-based guidelines and tools to enhance care and wellbeing for older populations, and creating tools to promote conversations among patients with serious illness and their clinicians about goals and wishes for medical treatment.
