Our Primary Health Care team is focused on strengthening primary health care globally so every person and community can obtain the care they deserve. We have developed partnerships in more than 40 countries — including Estonia, Costa Rica, Rwanda, and Ghana — to influence the equitable organization and delivery of frontline, primary health care services and produce better outcomes for patients and communities, particularly vulnerable ones. Our team of experts leverage their experience in primary care, population health, global health systems and measurement to develop global tools to define, measure, track, and ultimately improve primary health care.
FEATURED RELEASE:
The Ariadne Labs | Penda Health partnership designed and piloted BP Sawa, a chronic care management program for Penda patients with hypertension with the goal to develop and implement a hypertension clinical pathway for clinicians and patients to improve hypertension outcomes.

The Challenge
Primary health care is the foundation of resilient, responsive health systems for healthy populations. However, nearly all countries have gaps in delivering high-quality primary health care. Across the globe, primary health care tends to be fragmented, ineffective, underfunded, and focused on treating diseases rather than holistically caring for communities and people. These gaps contribute to poor health outcomes, particularly for the most vulnerable, and health systems that are inefficient and unresponsive to the needs of the population.
