Emily Cummins
As a Senior Qualitative Research Specialist, Emily provides qualitative methodological support and training to programs across the Lab.
Emily worked previously with Trinity College in Hartford, CT, where she was Director of the Liberal Arts Action Lab, as well as a Lecturer. Among other endeavors, Emily was previously a Postdoctoral Research Associate with the Clinical Addiction and Research Education Unit at Boston Medical Center.
Emily completed her PhD in Sociology in 2016, and has rich skills and experience in both conducting and training others to conduct qualitative research, ethnography, and survey methodology. Emily’s subject matter expertise includes urban sociology, medical sociology, political sociology, social psychology, and opioid use and overdose.
