Ki-Do Eum
As a Senior Statistical Analyst on the Data Science team, Ki-Do Eum, PhD, MPH works closely with the LIFE project team to clean, analyze, and interpret the dataset from the longitudinal study.
Ki-Do came to Ariadne Labs from Tufts University, where he was most recently a research assistant professor in epidemiology and biostats. In this role he applied traditional and novel epidemiological approaches to investigate the effect of air pollution on health outcomes, including mortality, metabolomic and proteomic profiles, and cardiopulmonary health. He has analyzed large administrative datasets, including the Massachusetts All Payers Claims Database and the U.S. Medicare database. He developed a statistical method to adjust for temporal confounding in epidemiology studies and contributed to the development of hybrid epidemiological-machine learning approaches with a team of computer scientists. Prior to Tufts, Ki-Do was a research associate in epidemiology at Northeastern University and post-doctoral research fellow at HSPH.
Ki-Do has a PhD in Public Health and an MPH, both from Seoul National University.
