Megan Marx Delaney, RN, MSN, MPH is a Quality Improvement Specialist for the BetterBirth Program at Ariadne Labs. In this role, Megan supports the scale up of the WHO Safe Childbirth Checklist in Uttar Pradesh, India and works to continuously improve the quality of both research and intervention activities.
Megan has over 8 years of experience in public health and is committed to improving the quality of nursing practice both domestically and abroad. Prior to Ariadne Labs, she served as Nurse Advisor for the Ministry of Health of Palau, where she worked to build nursing leadership capacity and implement evidenced-based changes in nursing practice related to childbirth and emergency care.
Additionally, Megan worked as a Research Study Coordinator with the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine to investigate the safety culture of nurse anesthetists in Sierra Leone, practiced as a clinical nurse at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and served in the United States Peace Corps in Honduras.
Megan is a registered nurse and holds a dual Master of Public Health and Master of Science in Nursing, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Johns Hopkins University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Skidmore College.
