Francis Willem RUMBETE is an artistic director, ICT advisor, and medical student with a passion for using technology to improve education and healthcare. He has over 3 years of experience working in the tech sector, and he is currently the artistic director of Free Tech Institute, a non-profit organization that provides free technology training to underserved communities in Burundi. He is also an ICT advisor at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Burundi, where he helps to develop and implement digital tools into the curriculum. In addition, he is a medical student at the University of Burundi, and he is eager to learn more about how to use evidence to improve patient care. Francis joined the Better Evidence for Training program in 2023. He believes that it is essential for all healthcare professionals to have the skills to find, evaluate, and use evidence in their work. As a medical student, he is particularly interested in learning how to use digital tools to find and evaluate evidence quickly and efficiently. He believes that this is an essential skill for all medical students to have, in order to provide the best possible care to their patients. His work as an artistic director, ICT advisor, and medical student has given him a deep understanding of the importance of evidence-based decision-making. He is a skilled communicator and trainer.
