Madison Canfora
Madison Canfora is a Research Specialist on the Science and Technology Platform at Ariadne Labs. In this role, Madison conducts qualitative research and analysis for program and project teams across Ariadne Labs. Additionally, she collaborates with teams to provide scientific writing and editing support.
Madison’s prior research has spanned physician-patient communication in the NICU, communication regarding brain imaging, pediatric migraine, and the innovation of parental decision aids for critically ill infants. Her background includes experience in the area of patient-centered goals and communication within palliative care at Duke Health, and she served with the Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant Support Program at Duke Children’s Hospital.
Madison holds a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from Duke University.
The BetterBirth Team and their partners at KEMRI Wellcome Trust and the University of Oxford published the results from their mixed methods study at three county referral hospitals in Kenya to explore the impact of birth complications on mothers’ and families’ postpartum experiences and wellbeing.
The Spark Grant-funded Stroke Checklist team published their results on a 2-year quality improvement project co-designed and tested a checklist for quicker evaluation of suspected stroke cases in two emergency departments.
