Sara Pellegrom
Sara Pellegrom, MPH, is the Senior Project Manager for the Better Evidence program at Ariadne Labs. In her role, she supports a portfolio of projects that help the current and future health workforce integrate the latest evidence into their decision making to improve health outcomes.
Previously, Sara worked at the Torchlight Collective, where she advised donors and organizations, created training resources, and developed technical communications materials focused on adolescent and youth sexual and reproductive health and rights. She also worked at Women Deliver on the Young Leaders Program, supporting youth advocates to participate in capacity-building activities, grant opportunities, and advocacy strategies.
Sara holds a Master of Public Health from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Rhodes College.
Our Better Evidence team in BMJ Global Health on finding that the data on the current medical school landscape in Africa was outdated, incomplete and needing updating. Their research identified 444 medical schools in Africa, a 160+% increase from the previous estimate of 169 schools in 2010.
