Margaret Ben-Or, MPH, is a Project Manager on the Project Management Platform, ensuring projects are successfully delivered in terms of scope, schedule, and resources. In this role, she supports a number of projects: the CRICO-funded work focused on reducing health care system expansion risks to patient safety; a project investigating the links between hospital management practices and ability to implement large scale quality improvement projects; and a research project exploring the use of Smartphone data to improve preoperative counseling and postoperative care. Margaret also sits on the Communications Team as a writer, covering the work happening across the organization. She previously served as a Project Manager for the Serious Illness Care Program.
Prior to Ariadne Labs, Margaret worked for Pathfinder International as a Program Officer providing technical and financial monitoring and operational support to field offices in Angola, Mozambique, and South Africa. Before that, Margaret worked for Management Sciences for Health, first as a Project Support Associate and later as an Operations Officer, supporting projects and offices in sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and the Middle East, and South America. She has also worked for the MA Department of Public Health’s Bureau of Substance Abuse Services as the Adolescent Services Coordinator. Margaret holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Policy Studies from Syracuse University and a Master’s in Public Health with a Global Health concentration from Boston University.
